Bukit Bintang

In the Bukit Bintang area, located in central Kuala Lumpur, temporary traffic management measures and road closures will be implemented in conjunction with the Labour Day celebrations and the Rain Rave Water Music Festival 2026.


Visitors and motorists planning to travel in this area are advised to check the schedule in advance, consider alternative routes, and make use of public transportation where possible. A traffic closure map is available on the official Tourism Malaysia Facebook page for reference.


■ Partial Road Closures (Bukit Bintang Area)

Dates: April 22 – April 28, 2026

  • Weekdays: 11:00 PM – 5:00 AM

  • Weekends: 12:00 AM – 7:00 AM


■ Full Road Closures (Bukit Bintang Area)

Dates: April 29 – May 2, 2026


Traffic congestion and diversions are expected during this period. For a smoother journey, the use of MRT, monorail, and other public transport options is highly recommended.



What is the “Rain Rave Water Music Festival 2026” held in Bukit Bintang?


This year, Malaysia is running a nationwide tourism campaign called Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026). The initiative aims to position 2026 as a special tourism year, attracting visitors from around the world to rediscover the country’s diverse attractions and cultural richness.


In Kuala Lumpur, one of the key highlight events under Visit Malaysia 2026 is the upcoming World Labour Day Celebration Cum Rain Rave Water Music Festival 2026.


This unique festival combines music, culture, and urban lifestyle experiences under the theme of “rain,” creating a fresh and immersive concept not seen before. Scheduled during the Labour Day long weekend, the event offers international travelers and local visitors an opportunity to experience Malaysia’s vibrant energy and multicultural atmosphere.
