Hello, this is Aya Mama 👵🏻 Everyone, the durian season has arrived! 😍 If you move to Malaysia, you absolutely must try durian!! After all, Malaysian durians are the best in the world 🤩
Lately, more and more people are moving to Malaysia! So today, I’d like to introduce a store you should visit on your relocation day: MR.D.I.Y.
However, this is for those who can move in immediately after securing a property.

Inside the store, there are various products.
When we moved to Malaysia in 2015, MR.D.I.Y. existed, but it was just a store selling a few inexpensive home repair items, so we hardly ever went there. At that time, the only place that sold a wide variety of goods was Daiso, so we went there often. However, after Malaysia introduced the consumption tax, Daiso’s prices increased from RM5.0 → RM5.3 → RM5.9, nearly double what you would pay in Japan.
Then, RM2 shops started appearing in Malaysia, and MR.D.I.Y. expanded its product range like Daiso, eventually going public and becoming an indispensable store for Malaysians.
Right after moving, you could buy daily necessities at an RM2 shop, but MR.D.I.Y. sells RM2-shop items plus additional products, making it a convenient store for quickly picking up what you need when you’re tired and short on time.
Relocating can be very tough, so it’s better not to overdo it. Many people get sick from trying too hard, which is not only stressful but also costly due to hospital fees.
Therefore, after moving, quickly buy your daily necessities at MR.D.I.Y., have a meal, and then take time to rest.

In Malaysia, having your own water bottle is a must! There’s really no other store that sells this many bottles (lol).
You need to drink water regularly to avoid heatstroke. Japanese people tend to drink less water, so make sure to drink plenty. Even I get scolded by Erik to drink more water, but I often forget 💦

Kitchen items such as frying pans

Laundry drying items

Baby shampoo and body wash

Baby laundry detergent

Baby safety products

Masks are available for both adults and children.

Garbage bags

Balloons for birthdays and events. In Malaysia, kids’ birthdays are usually celebrated with friends, so event supplies like these are essential. There are many types, and they’re really cheap, so you can buy lots without thinking too much 😊

There are also many types of cute balloons.

Party hats

Lots of paper cups too!!

Lots of toys too! This aisle is for girls.

This is the aisle for boys' toys.

Water play toys.

Condominiums in Malaysia come with pools, so you can buy float rings and such here!

Snacks.

Car accessories and many more types of products are also available.

This is a painkiller. Panadol is also sold by sheet at SPEED99, but you can also buy it by sheet at MR.D.I.Y. On this day, however, there wasn’t much stock. In Malaysia, it’s quite common for items to be out of stock.

They also sell a lot of sandals! Such an amazing amount 🤣🤣🤣

An entire row of socks 🤣🤣🤣

Various tools are also sold here.

In Malaysia, plumbing often breaks down… so they also sell items like this!

They also have pet supplies.

MR.D.I.Y. has everything! I also go here quite often. It has everything you need and it’s cheap! A true friend to everyday Malaysians 😊
I’ll introduce more stores next time 😊
See you again~ 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻
