🌠 Fun and fun Chinese New Year lanterns illuminations 🌠 Aunty Aya👵 navigates local ways to enjoy!

【 Malaysia Long stay Malaysia Property Apartment Hotel Travel Rental MM2H Blog】FEB 2023 新年快乐(Happy new year) 恭喜发财(Gong Xi Hua Tsai). I’m Aunty👵Aya. Chinese has started work, but it's still in lunar new year mode. The Chinese New Year is still going on this weekend with friends and fun. This time, I would like to introduce the Fo Guang Shan Dong Zen Temple CNY Lantern & Floral Festival, which I went to with Eric's family on the third day of the Chinese New Year, because it was so wonderful that both children and adults could enjoy it as a family! What's more, admission is free! ! ! It is held every year, but it is a limited-time event only for the Chinese New Year, so hurry everyone~🏃🏻🏃🏻🏃🏻🏃🏻🏃🏻 until February 5th. But in Malaysia, popular events are extended, so maybe there is an extension? ! Just looking at this photo will make you want to go! ! !

Before going to the temple, first have a meal (laughs)

There is a delicious BAK KUT THE meat bone teahouse near this temple, so we will have dinner a little early. All Japanese people love Bakute. This is seafood bak kut teh.

I arrived at the shop around 5:30, but the shop was full. . . The people in the shop are super busy, so it's not like they guide you to an empty table. If there are no seats, you have to wait near the table of the customer who is about to finish eating.

This is Dry BAK KUT THE. Spare ribs, okra, onions and a little fried noodles? contains something like It looks spicy, but it's not spicy and has a soy sauce flavor that goes well with the Japanese palate. I didn't really understand the taste of seafood 😅

Ordinary baguette. Stewed pork block and yuba. Since I came to the corner, I ordered both dry and soup. Since there were a lot of people, I asked for another soup baguette.

Stir fried fish. It was delicious too.

Maybe it's air spinach. Ordinarily delicious! This kind of stir-fry can be delicious if you stir-fry it quickly in an iron pan over high heat. I wrote about how to make Chinese-style stir-fried vegetables on my blog before, so please take a look ☺️ You can make delicious stir-fried vegetables that you would eat at a restaurant!

簡単!!美味しい野菜炒めの作り方

Stir-fried bitter gourd. Chinese-style stir-fried vegetables are often one type of simple dish. I think many Japanese people mix about 3 kinds of vegetables to make stir-fried vegetables, but you can get a lot of vegetables that way. But a kind of simple stir-fried vegetables, if you make it well at a restaurant or by yourself, you can make the best use of the ingredients and it's not watery and delicious😋

An omelet-like omelet made by mixing finely chopped pickles. It was also simple and delicious. The bak kut teh has a strong flavor, so it goes well with simple stir-fried vegetables and fried eggs, and it's delicious!

I asked for so much and it was RM204 in total. 8 adults + 2 children. RM25.5 per person when divided by 8 adults. It's cheap and delicious, so you can see why it's crowded. When I eat with my family at a nearby restaurant, I order fish, seafood, meat, and vegetables for around RM300-400, so it's pretty cheap.

Everyone was crazy about it because it was delicious.

Let's go to Fo Guang Shan Dong Zen Temple CNY Lantern & Floral Festival

Drive to today's main spot. I finished eating around 6:30 and moved, but the traffic was already terrible. . . The parking lot of the temple was full and I could not enter, so I parked in the parking space of the nearby shop lot.

Arrive at the temple and wait for the sun to set. When the sun goes down, lanterns and illuminations are lit up, transforming the temple into a colorful and fun place. Illuminations in Japan are wonderful, but Chinese-style lantern illuminations are rare in Japan, so you can experience the wonderful culture of Chinese Malaysians. This year's zodiac is the rabbit, so the rabbit is the theme.

The people are amazing even though it's not dark yet. It's getting more and more. This year's lunar new year has been raining since shoichi. The day I went was Shozo, but unfortunately it rained from the morning and stopped around noon. Nevertheless, the people were amazing.

Because it is a Chinese temple, the lanterns are also red and yellow.

The candle is also red. The sight of many red candles lit with orange flames and flickering was very beautiful. In Chinese temples, candles are lit to pray, so there are many candles in front of Kannon.

Since it is a temple, my father-in-law and mother-in-law are also visiting. Kannon is everywhere. Let's visit and wait for the sun to set.

Kannon silhouette tunnel.

There were rabbit lanterns and lights here and there, and the children enjoyed it.

Rafflesia Tunnel. It's a rafflesia because there are dots on the petals.

Is it an area inspired by the mid-autumn moon? ? The moon and rabbit reflected in the puddle created by the rain were also wonderful.

<Main area>

With the theme of Alice in Wonderland, a large rabbit and mushroom illumination will appear! !

Rabbits, Alice, carrots 🥕, and mushroom lanterns are also very nice. I wonder if this will take a year to make? ! It's like a Japanese Nebuta, and I'm sure it takes a lot of time to make. When I think about the lanterns and illuminations that I'm making for this day of the Chinese New Year, and the other side of the production, there's something that comes to mind.

And

The lights in the venue suddenly went out,

The illumination show starts with the music of It's Small World! After that, my son was very excited with the fun songs of the Chinese New Year.

I haven't been able to go back to Japan for about 5 years due to corona. My son has never been to Japan, so I want to take him to Disneyland.

The illumination show held in this main area is held once every 20 minutes.

I wanted to stay a little longer, but my family said it was going to rain, so I left early because I had three children. About 15 minutes after we started driving home, it started to rain. Thanks to that, I was able to enjoy it without getting wet in the rain. In such a crowded place, it is safe to have local people together.

Location: Fo Guang Shan Dong Zen Temple The temple is quite large, and it was crowded, we didn't know when it would rain, and there were children, so we couldn't go around all of it. It is a lantern illumination that the whole family can enjoy. Please go there. website:

Transportation: I have lived in Malaysia for 8 years, but I recommend going by car. It's late at night, so it's dangerous, especially if it rains. By the way, if you go by car, you will not be able to park in the parking lot if you are late. We arrived on the 3rd day of Chinese New Year, January 24th around 7pm (I think it was probably the busiest time of day), but the parking lot was already full and we parked at a nearby shop lot. rice field. I happened to meet a couple of Eric's high school friends and their children at the venue, and they said that they would arrive around 3:30 PM and wait for the sun to set. Admission is free and many Chinese people go to this event (Eric's relatives were also at the same place on the same day), so crowds are unavoidable.

Period: January 15th to February 5th, 2023

Time; AM10:00~PM10:00

We pulled up a little early but it was already congested. . .

If it is late, the traffic jam will be even worse.

When I got home, I ate durian and had a happy Chinese New Year😍😋
