Kuala Lumpur’s Transportation Network is Evolving Further
The long-awaited LRT3 (Light Rail Transit Line 3 / Shah Alam Line) is officially scheduled to commence operations on September 30, 2025.
With the launch of this new line, densely populated areas like Shah Alam and Klang—which have long lacked railway access—will finally be connected to the city’s rail network, greatly improving access from the western suburbs to central Kuala Lumpur.
◆ Basic Information about LRT3 (Shah Alam Line)
Total Length: 37.8 km
Number of Stations: 26
Starting Point: Bandar Utama (Connected to MRT Sungai Buloh–Kajang Line)
Terminus: Johan Setia (Southern Klang)
The line is designed to transport up to 6,210 passengers per hour in one direction, helping to reduce traffic congestion and stimulate the local economy.

Phase 1: Trial Run (FFR)

KL Sentral → (5–7 min walk) → Muzium Negara (MRT) → Bandar Utama (LRT3 Interchange) → Klang Station

Take the LRT3 from CGC Glenmarie Station → Alight at I-City Station
It’s recommended to arrive in the late afternoon. Start with some dining and shopping at Central i-City mall, then step outside to a dazzling digital cityscape.
Indulge in the “Snow Walk”—an indoor winter wonderland featuring ice sculptures and real snow, creating a surreal experience. Afterwards, stroll through tree-lined pathways adorned with illuminations and massive light installations—perfect for photos with family or as a couple. Just 1–2 hours is enough to enjoy this extraordinary nighttime spot.

Take the MRT from Semantan Station → Transfer to LRT3 at Bandar Utama → Alight at Stadium Station → Ride-hailing for 5–7 mins → Arrive at Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Mosque (Blue Mosque).
Admire the striking blue dome and intricate stained glass of one of Malaysia’s largest mosques. Guided tours for visitors are available, offering a peaceful, awe-inspiring experience while appreciating the refined beauty of Malay architecture.
