STARS International School Malaysia International School tour No.31

STARS International School

STARS International School, a Malaysia International School, is located in the Petaling Jaya area, about 30 minutes southwest of central Kuala Lumpur, surrounded by offices and factories.

It is known for having one of the most affordable tuition fees among international schools in KL, making it a great choice for families looking to keep costs low. While the campus isn’t large due to the low fees, the school still offers a decent range of facilities, providing good value for money.

There are some condominiums within walking distance, but walking with small children can be challenging, so most students commute by car or bus.

The following is an excerpt from the school's official website.

The PATHWAYS program (the name of STARS’ preschool) provides an environment where children can learn joyfully and grow. The program aims to prepare children for their learning journey ahead. Through inquiry-based learning and play, we support each child’s development both inside and outside the classroom.

◎Primary School Education

Primary school education plays a vital role in helping children nurture their own interests and passions. At this stage, students begin to develop a sense of independence and show curiosity toward specific subjects and materials. Building on the foundational skills learned in early childhood education, primary education encourages children to take a more active role in their own learning.

◎Lower Secondary (Year 7 to Year 9)

Our Pre-IGCSE program is designed for students aged 12 to 14 and offers a flexible framework for developing skills and understanding across a range of subjects. These include English, Mathematics, Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics), Malay as a second language, History, Business Studies, Economics, Islamic Studies, and Moral Studies. The program serves as preparation for the Cambridge IGCSE, and is structured to allow teachers to assess student progress as they advance in their learning.

◎Upper Secondary (Year 10 to Year 11)

The Cambridge IGCSE is the world’s most popular international qualification for students aged 14 to 16. It is widely recognized by leading universities and employers around the globe, serving as an international passport to further education and future success.

◎A Levels

The Cambridge Advanced Level (A Level) is designed for learners aged 16 to 19 as preparation for university and higher education. The syllabus aims to develop a deep understanding of subjects as well as independent thinking skills.
