In celebration of the “National Day & Malaysia Day Commemorative Month,” which runs from August 31 (National Day) to September 16 (Malaysia Day), KL Tower (Menara Kuala Lumpur) will feature special nightly light-ups from August 19 to September 16. Each evening, the tower will be illuminated with colors representing different states, accompanied by music, to convey a spirit of love and unity.
Light-Up Show Schedule
Each state’s light-up lasts 1 hour. If multiple states are featured on the same day, each will be shown for 30 minutes.
⏰ 20:00 – 21:00: Light Up Malaysia (with the state anthem played at the beginning and end)⏰ 21:00 – 23:00: Regular Light Show
⏰ 23:00 – 24:00: Light Up Malaysia (with the state anthem played at the beginning and end)
At KL Tower, special light-up events are held from time to time — such as fireworks displays with illuminations on New Year’s Eve, turning the tower green to mark the Maghrib and Isha prayer times, and lighting up in celebration of special national days of partner countries and regions. The National Day Month light-up in 2025 will surely be another spectacle worth experiencing!
